A different kind of publisher.
Books are just the starting point for cultural action, involvement and education. And for influencing the future of photographies.
We’re in the business of change, not the business of profit. Free from state, corporate, or charitable funding, we publish what we think is needed — not just what sells. We never ask for, or accept, financial contributions from photographers or authors, and nor do they receive fees from us.
We aim to reach the widest possible audience through multiple channels: online, bookshops, launches, seminars, study groups, training programmes… And we welcome collaboration with like-minded organisations and individuals, nationally and internationally.
At the same time, we’re passionate about the design, feel and quality of every book we publish. And always open to new ideas.
This is what we’re committed to publishing:
- Pioneering work from the past which has been ignored or overlooked.
- New work which deals with the key issues of our time, whether large or small, local or international.
- New work which explores fresh ways of exposing, questioning and resisting capitalism.
